Ammunition Store at Palathota has been built during the Dutch Period to store ammunition and to preserve it from fire. The roof of the building is made of concrete and bricks. The setting of walls and windows are significant since they allow for inside wind circulation.
This building was declared as a protected monument under the Antiquities ordinance in 2007 and at present this building is conserved and maintained by the Department of Archeology.
