The ancient temple of Moragollagama Kadawala is located close to Polpithigama in the Kurunegala District. The road from Daladagama (Padeniya-Galgamuwa road) to Yapahuwa ends at Madagalla junction. Alternatively, yo could take the Polpithigama road from Kurunegala and travel past Polpithigama for 3.5 km to reach the Madagalla junction. Madagalla Temple is located at a distance of 1 km past this Junction.

Tampita Vihara was a popular architectural feature during the Kandyan kingdom where the temple was built on a platform which was held on an array of pillars, mostly stone.

Tampita Viharaya at Konwewa Bodhianganaramaya is built on 8 stone pillars 56 centimeters high.  A circumambulating path runs around the image house. It is 109 centimeters wide at front, 28 cm wide on sides and rear. The image house is 4.24×3.00 meters in size and the building is 6.01×4.14 meters in size.
