Kosgahadola is a village belonging to Mulatiyana Divisional Secretariat in Matara District. Kosgahadola is popular for its waterfall also called Kosgahadola Ella. This waterfall and the Kosgahadola Bubula on the same stream somewhat close to each other.

If you are coming from Matara to visit Kosgahadola Falls and Bubula, you will come through Thihagoda, Kamburupitiya, Makandura, Mulatiyana. If traveling from Galle, you should come to Makandura through Akuressa and to Mulatiyana. Also The site is located 2.3 kms down the Kotapola road.

The Diya Bubula at Kosgahadola (water spring) lies some distance above the waterfall and the water joins the Kosgahadola steam. Traveling upstream over slippery rocks, it is amazing how a stream of water naturally emerges from a delicate crack in the rock. A small circular tank has been built at that place in later times to surrounding the constantly flowing stream. The water that fills the tank overflows and flows over the rock surface. This Diya Bubula flows continuously even during severe drought and during heavy rains.

The water flowing out of water is heavy in minerals and you can see these mineral deposits on the rock surface where the flows. Therefore its not suitable for human consumption.
