Height :7 meters
District :Ratnapura

This twin-streamed Hal Ella Fall (Haal Ella Fall) flows over a protruding rock face and resembles an upturned receptacle used for carrying water. It is 7m high and 12m wide. Upstream, the woodland contains several hal (Vateria copellifera) trees, the fruits of which fall into the stream and drift over the fall, hence its name. Superstitious villagers claim they hear the sound of clothes being washed in the water.

The fall is situated in Amunutenne village, Ratnapura District, which can be reached along the Ratnapura – Welelwatte road.

There are 2 other waterfalls on a set of 3 waterfalls which lie within about 50 meters of each other. The first waterfall is also similar in height but has no name. According to a villager, this is created with excess water by a farm above. Thus the locals do not consider this a proper waterfall. This falls in 2 sections and the upper section is covered in vegetation. This fall must be 20-25 meters in height considering both sections.

Following are the waterfalls lying on the Ratnapura-Wewalwatte route
