Kumbukwewa Rangiri Lena Viharaya is an ancient cave temple tucked away from the busy roads in the Kumbukwewa area in the Kurunegala District. The main image house of this temple is built underneath a large cave with a drip ledge on a massive rock. Another image house and bikku kuti too can be seen built around more ancient drip-ledge caves.
Travelling 12.5 km from Kurunegala towards Galewela and 7.2 km past the Badagamuwa Conservation Forest, you will reach Ibbagamuwa Junction. From here take the left side road towards Kumbukwewa. Travel 11 km on this road passing Kumbukwewa Junction to reach the Kumbukwewa – Nikagolla Road. The temple lies about 500 meters into this road.
