Beginning from the Lemastota River Reservoir, the Kalkanna Reservoir and the Welioya Reservoir, the 30m Lemastota Oya Ella Falls cascades from a rock outcrop and is surrounded by beautiful rainforest.

This rather unknown waterfall lies about 500 meters after the Dambethanne Tea Factory (if travelling from Haputale)  where you need to take permission to enter the estate to reach Lipton’s Seat. The waterfall Lemastota is not very visible and there is no proper path to the waterfall but you can get a reasonable view by crossing some vegetable patches.

There are are number of cascades below  Lemastota Oya Ella with various heights some easily over 150 meters in height falling off steep slopes. At least 6 large cascades can be identified in this cluster.  They are marked on the map below.  These cascades are at best during rainy seasons when the water is plenty on the stream.
