Kumbukkadawala Nilgiri Rajamaha Viharaya is an ancient cave temple complex in the Polpithigama Divisional Secretariat of Kurunegala District .
As with many cave temples in this area, this temple was renovated during the Kandyan era thus temple shows the architectural characteristics of the Kandyan Era. The ancient Stupa, Bodhighara (the protective wall surrounding the Bodhi tree) and the image house built as a cave temple have been declared as protected monuments by the Department of Archaeology.
