Veheragala Aranya Senasanaya is an ancient forest monastery in Hambanthota. This is a functioning hermitage of Buddhist bhikkus built on an ancient hermitage.
Granite ruins of the ancient monastery are scattered all over this hermitage and some of the drip ledge caves are now being used by the monks. A new Buddha statue and a stupa have been built at the top of the rocky hill of the monastery.
