Hidden deep inside the mountains near Sri Lanka’s tallest waterfall Bambarakanda, are two lesser-known but magnificent waterfalls which can be enjoyed from a single viewpoint. These are the Udawara Ella Fall and the Nagadowa Ella Fall. Since these falls can only be reached by foot after trekking approx 2 km on from the Kalupahana – Ohiya road. To reach to bottom of the fall is a further torturous 5 km trek. The Uduwara Ella Fall is about 60-80 meters in height.

The Uduwara Ella Fall is reached by foot from the road leading to the Bambarakanda Falls. Go past the Bambarakanda Falls on the Kalupahana – Ohiya road and take the tracking path marked on the Google Earth Travel Companion File available for download here
