Andiyagala is a small town on the Galewela – Kalawewa road. Close to the town centre of Andiyagala lies Andiyagala Reservoir, an ancient village reservoir built thousands of years ago. a rocky plain near this picturesque water tank lies ruins of an ancient stupa now totally covered in weed resembling just a mound of earth.

Andiyagala can be reached through Galewela or Talkiriyagama. Coming from Galewela, take the Kalawewa Road for 20 kilometres until Andiyagala junction is met. Turn left from the junction and travel 1oo meters on this road to reach the rock plateau on the right.

An ancient stupa now totally covered in weed resembling just a mound of earth lying at a rocky plain near the picturesque Andiyagala Reservoir.
