Height :30 metres
District :Badulla

Halaba Dorowana Ella lies hidden deep in the jungle of the Uva Paranagama area in the Badulla District. The waterfall falls in 2 stages from a height of over 30 meters and splits into 2 steams at the centre.

To reach the fall, take the B648 road (Welimada – Uduharawa Road) from Welimada. Travel for 12 km and take the road towards Maspanna passing the Kottegoda Bridge. Travel 8 km on this road until you reach Bambarapana Junction. Take the road toward Halabe after passing the Govi Jana Seva Center of Bambarapana. Travel towards the famous unused Halabe Bridge which lies across Uma Oya. There is a small bridge across Uma Oya about 650 upstream to the old Halabe Bridge. This road goes across this new bridge. To know more about the mystery of Halabe Bridge, click here.

The waterfall can be seen from the road itself falling into a deep crevice on steam which falls to the Uma Oya close to the new bridge which lies about 800 meters before the bridge. Due to the position of the waterfall, it’s not easy to get closer.

This waterfall is not on the LCWF list of waterfalls.
