Indikatu Seya Complex lies sub monastery complex lying within the lager Mihintale Complex. A stone parapet encloses the monastic establishment identified as the Indikatu Seya monastery. The complex includes two stupas the larger being known as the Indikatu Seya. The stupa here has basal terraces that differ from the other stupas of Mihintale. The stupa is 20 feet in circumference. The 6-foot high platform on which it is built depicts Mahayana structural features constructed during 8-9th centuries. A panchavasa, an image house, a hot bath house, and a pond built with blocks of rock are the other structures found within this complex. According to folklore, this stupa is built enshrining the needles that Arhaths in Mihintale had used to stitch their robes.
Amongst the ruins of the building and walkways are found some charming guard stones, and granite full pots standing on pillars on either side of the entrances.
