A hillock with ruins of an ancient stupa in Rajagama in Uhana has been declared as a protected archaeological site by the Government with the Gazette issued on 10th October 2014, and describes the location as follows ;
“Hillock of Dagoba in 95/1, land belonging to Rajagama 08 village situated in Grama Niladhari Division No. W/944/1-135, Rajagama South in the Divisional Secretary’s Division, Uhana in Ampara District in Eastern Province. (Latitude 07º24´ 45.3´´ N and longitude 081º41´45.4´´ E).”
