An un-named archaeological site carries an identification board of the archaeology department at the rocky area south of the Sagama Reservoir (Sangaman Tank) visible to the Akkarapattu – Sagama toad.  Whatever ruins it had has been destroyed.

Unfortunately most locals in the North and South with a majority are Tamil or Muslim are in the process of wiping out all evidence of lesser-known archaeological sites in these regions before they became widely known. This site also may have faced the same fate similar to the two stupas which were bulldozed at Gamini Tissa Monastery which lies only 4 kilometres away from this archaeological site.
