The Telulla Archeological Site lies in the Telulla village in the Wellawaya Divisional Secretariat Division of the Monaragala District of the Uva Province. It is located near the 4th mile post on the Hambntota-Wellawaya road.

The site currently consists of 11 stupas, an image house and remains of 2 buildings. Surrounding area is strewn with a large quantity of brick bats and fragments of tiles. Out of the 11 stupas its possible to see 2 which has been resorted by the department of archaeology. The remains of the other stupas are scattered around the jungle.

The stupas and the image house has been destroyed by treasure hunters. A 8 feet tall Buddha statue in the image house too has been destroyed in search of treasures.

This temple complex is believed to have been built in the Anuradhapura Era. The site can be reached by Weligatta – Bundala road on the Weligatta town on (passing Hambantota)  and traveling along the borders of Bundala National Park.
