Height : 25 meters
District : Ratnapura

This 25m fall is borne of a stream flowing from Umagahawela, which winds through woods past the Budu Lena monastery in Lihiniyandola and along the eastern slope of the Dolabada Mountain before joining the Kosgaga River. Animals including deer, wild boar and plants including special varieties of anthurium can be found nearby. Unfortunately, the growing of tea as a cash crop up to the border of the fall has diminished the natural beauty of the area.

Because the fall is not visible from afar, and it is some distance away from the village, it is not well known, but it is definitely worth a look if visiting the local monastery. The numerous caves along the way provide shelter to those making the trip during the rains.

Situated in the Ratnapura District Kalawana PC, the fall can be reached by taking the Weddagala road and turning at the Kolaniya junction towards Wenbiyangoda village. At the 5th mile post is Badulena Aranya. Turn here and travel the 2.5km to Pitawathura village where the fall can be found.
