Warnagala Ella Fall is a waterfall lying on the Kuruwita – Erathna track to Sri Pada. Warnagala meaning “the coloured rock” probably got its name from the colourful bedrock due to various mineral deposits. Although this has been a fairly large fall, due to mini hydropower projects upstream the volume of water on the fall has dwindled. Therefore the best time to see this fall is during the rainy season which is the off-season for the Sri Pada hike.
