Rambewa Kadahatha Tampita Viharaya is an ancient temple complex with a Tampita Viharaya belonging to the Kandyan era.

A Tampita Viharaya is a structure built on a wooden platform which rests on a number of stone stumps usually 3-4 feet tall. The roof is held by a structure built of timber and the walls are generally made of wattle and daub and the inner walls are generally covered with frescoes drawn mainly in Kandyan style.

This Tampita Viharaya was declared a protected archaeological monument by the Department of Archaeology published in the Gazette dated 2009.01.23 and describes as ;

“The ancient dagoba, Tampita Viharaya, buildings ruins and rock with a pond at Kada Hatha, situated with the Grama Niladhari Division No. 103-Diviya Udabandawewa Thulana, in Rambewa Divisional Secretary Division, Anuradhapura District, North Central Province.”

Only the stone pillar stumps remain of this Tampita Viharaya today. The ancient stupa which had turned to a mound of earth overgrown with wild plants, was conserved in mid-2022.
