At 189m, Kurundu Oya Ella Falls (Maturata Ella) is the second highest fall in Sri Lanka. From its source, the Kurundu River, the water cascades down into a deep ravine before later joining the Mahaweli River.

Named for a legendary princess, Kumari Ella is a serene four-meter waterfall in Hewahinna. Formed by the convergence of mountain streams, it feeds into the Kelani River. Despite its small scale, the site remains a prominent landmark and a popular nature escape near Colombo.
Kudalu Ella Falls is 20m in height, located in the Badulla District, and is produced by the Punagala Oya. The brook rushes with a series of cascades over different coloured rocks turning strings of water glitter in the sun before falling into several deep pools.
Kuda Falls (30m in height) is near Kirindi Ella Falls and it is the difference in size between these two falls that gave rise to its name.
Kuda Dunhinda Ella is the lower part of the popular Dunhinda Falls. You will pass this fall on the trek to the Dunhinda. This track doesn’t lead to this falls but a platform has been built to view it from a distance.
The enchanting Kotapola Kiruwana Ella Waterfall is 54 meters in height and is located in the village named Kotapola in the Matara District. Access to this waterfall is about 4 Km from Kotapola via Urubokka.
The source of this 3m-high Kosgahadola Ella Fall is an aquifer in the Mulatiyana Jungle. It is believed there used to be a monastery at this site and that elephants used to bathe in the pool here.
Malalpola Kithul Ella Falll cascades down 13m between two mountains in the We Oya Valley. The surrounding area is dotted with palmyra trees, hence the fall’s name.
Kiri Ella Falls is 18m tall and 4m wide and cascades down from the Kabaragala Mountain (Alligator Mountain). It white water is said to resemble milk when viewed from a distance, hence its name.
This 3m-high Kelvin Falls is situated near the hamlet of Windsor Kelle (Windsor Forest) and flows down a 1050m slope to the Wee River.
It is said that the Katu Kithul Ella Falls (15m in height) takes its name from the katukithul tree or thorny palmyra located at the top. There are many superstitious tales linked to the fall.
To reach the 6m-high Katugas Falls, which is situated in the Ratnapura District, take the road from Colombo to Ratnapura and turn off at Weralupa junction.
Obada Ella Waterfall lies close to the Bandarawela Town on the Hatton route. The waterfall is not visible at the main road but can be reached near Ellatota Junction on the road going up towards Obada Ella Viharaya.
Kataboola Ella Falls is located in Kadiyanlena village, 10 km away from Nawalapitiya. Thus this waterfall is also called Kadiyanlena Ella Falls.
This 30m Kandu Ella fall is situated in the Ratnapura District, about 5km away from Nedola.

The Thalagune Ella (Kalugala Hulan Ella) Waterfall is a large waterfall which is at least 80 meters in height lies between the Uda Dumbara and Kalugala. The waterfall can be viewed from the main road after traveling about 3.5 km on the Uda Dumbara – Kalugala Road.
Kahanawita Ella Falls is a popular waterfall in Gomala Oya lying on the Dehiowita – Deraniyagala road 3.5 km away from Dehiowita.
Kachchaputa Ella Falls I & II are two waterfalls lying on the Idangoda – Eheliyagoda Road close to the Kiriella Falls in the Hindurangala area. They are visible to the main main road and lies about 300 meters away from each other.
The 3m Julee fall is in Agalawatte PS, Kalutara District. Travel in the Matugama-Agalawatte Road via Kitulgoda and come to Pollgampala – Kuruvita Town.
