Malalpola Kithul Ella Falll cascades down 13m between two mountains in the Wee Oya Valley. The surrounding area is dotted with Palmyra (Caryota urenus) trees, hence the fall’s name (kithul being another term for Palmyra).
Kithul Falls is in the Kegalle District, 15km from Yatiyantota at Mellapola (Malalpola). It can be reached in any mode of transport. The Kitulgala rest-house, 33km away, offers convenient accommodation.
