Gampaha Kuttivila Ambalama stands out as a significant resting spot, situated alongside a green paddy field and the Kirindiwela-Batuwita road in Gampaha. Positioned with its entrance facing the main road, it is embraced by a half-height protective wall.
Narangaspitiya Ambalama is a notable resting place nestled adjacent to a lush paddy field in Gampaha. Constructed from sturdy brick and mortar, this Ambalama stands as a substantial square structure. Positioned with its entrance oriented towards the serene expanse of the paddy fields, it is encircled by a protective half-height wall.
The Vijayapura Amblama is a square structure with short walls. These walls serve as benches as well. Two openings in the front and rear serve as entrances. Four pillars on the corners support the roof. The complete structure is built of brick and mortar and lacks any artistic value. This ambalama primarily serves as a gathering place for the villagers.
When travelling from Haguranketha towards Rikillagaskada, approximately 1½ km along the way, you’ll encounter the Madanwala Ambalama situated on the right side of the road. This Ambalama features four main stone pillars supporting the roof, with 5-foot-high stone walls built on three sides. Inscriptions within the Ambalama record that it was constructed in 1901 by Abhayasinghe Appuhami, the Secretary of Sagaruwanketa.
The Udunuwara Wattappola Ambalama is constructed using granite blocks. It undergoes annual repairs, carried out by the descendants of the individual who originally built it. Currently, cement-treated lime has been applied over the black stone surfaces.

Both children and adults travelling to Kalpitiya via Alagalla frequently seek shelter in this Ambalama when it rains. The residents are urging responsible parties to take action to preserve and maintain this essential structure for the benefit of the community.
Yatiwawala is located in the Galagedara area of the Harispattuwa Divisional Secretariat in the Kandy District. To find the Ambalama, one must walk along Polwatte Mawatha, situated in front of the Yatiwawala Cemetery, for approximately 350 meters. The Ambalama can be found in front of a paddy field along this route.
Thawalama Batahena Ambalama is one such rest stop constructed at a location where ferrymen and wagoners converged. It is believed that the area acquired the name “Thawalama” due to its association with caravans loading goods onto wagons.
Hidden within the forest along the Wediwettukallu and Welioya road lies a significant ancient Amuna (Anicut), spanning across a tributary of Kikul Oya. This Amuna stands approximately 1.5 meters high from the ground level, stretching 40 meters in length and 8 meters in width. Evidence suggests that it may have served as a bridge at some point, as brick construction is observed atop the stone blocks.
The Wahugapitiya Ambalama, once a beautifully crafted structure, now stands in a state of disrepair. Its roof is covered with galvanized roofing sheets, and the surrounding jungle encroaches upon its perimeter. Given its deteriorating condition, restoration efforts are imperative to preserve this historic building for future generations.
Upon examining the ruins present, it appears that the Ganegoda temple follows the architectural style of South India. While there are hints suggesting it might have originally been a three-storied structure, what remains today is a modest, small-scale temple.

Horagolla Ambalama is a brick and mortar structure with six brick pillars holding the roof. The rear of the ambalama is a full height while the other 3 sides have half-height walls. The pillars are plain and carry no artwork. A half height wall is built around the building with an opening for the entrance at the front. The roof is tiled with semi cylindrical Sinhala Ulu clay tiles.
The old city of Kurunegala Kingdom was spread between Kuruminigala and Ibbagala, bounded by Athugala. Even today ruins of the palace complex, the Temple of Tooth (Dalada Maligawa) and other buildings inside a semi-circular are found on this strip of land between Athugala and Kuruminigala.

Siyambaladamana Megalithic Burial Site is located in Siyambaladamana village in No. 598 Madawala Grama Sevaka division of Palugaswewa Regional Secretariat Dvision in Anuradhapura District of North Central Province. This burial site is well preserved due to its location which has not yet been affected by natural and human activities. There are about 16 burial chambers located in an area of about 03 acres.
The Tomb Monument of Iddamalgoda Nilame was built with stone blocks in the town of Pelmadulla. However, this was destroyed by treasure hunters in search of valuables inside the monument. The Department of Archaeology restored this monument some time a go some time ago.
