Urusita Wewa is believed to be built in the 3rd centrury BC. The tank is well known due to the well preserved Seven Hooded Cobra Carving on the sluice gate.
The Telulla Archaeological Site currently consists of two stupas partially restored by the Department of Archeology and stone pillars belonging to 2 ancient buildings. Surrounding area is strewn with a large quantity of brick bats and fragments of tiles.
