En route to the Kirinda Rajamaha Viharaya lies an archaeological site known as the Dalada Viharaya. Travelling from Tissamaharamaya towards Kirinda takes a person to the Palatupana road which leads to the Palatupana Entrnace to Yala National Park.

Travelling a further 1 km towards Kirinda from this junction will bring you to Kirinda Muslim Maha Vidyalaya. Turn to the road by the school and when you travel 500 meters, you will come across the Archaeology Department board directing to the site. Turn right and 100 meters down this lane lies the ruins known as Dalada Viharaya.

There is no reference to this site in any of the historical records. How this site got its name connecting to the tooth relic of Buddha (Dalada) is unknown.

A conserved stupa is found surrounded by a few granite monoliths of unknown purpose. There is a Siri Pathula Gala (footprint of Buddha carved on a rock), a partial Korawak Gala (Balustrade) and part of a Yupa pillar by the new Bo Tree.
