Galpaya Ancient Cave Temple lies in a remote village between Andiyagala and Jathika Namal Uyana. Built surrounding a rocky mountain using natural caves, the temple functions as a monastery today.
Simple living and meditation quarters have been built in the ancient drip ledge caves used by the meditating monks.
