St Anthony’s Church in the island of Kayts in Jaffna and lies 500 meters off the Kayts Ferry. The island can be reached over land on the Jaffna – Kayts road through Mandaitivu island or through a ferry from Karainagar.
The ruins of the ancient Dutch Church lies adjoining the new St Anthony’s Church. Although the roof had caved in, the huge walls of the church stands tall by the beach on the sandy land. This building has been protected as an archaeological monument in 23 February 2007.

Jaffna can be reached through 2 directions. First one is over the Elephant Pass which is the normal route to Jaffna. The other entrance is from Pooneryn over the newly built Sangupiddi Bridge. This road connects to Mannar.
