Vakaneri Ancient Buddhist Ruins – වාකනේරි බෞද්ධ පුරාවස්තු භූමිය
In ancient Sri Lanka Vakaneri was called “Vahaneriya”. In the Vakaneri colony near Valachchenai is an ancient site with a pilfered dagaba and the remains of three structures. There are also the remains of a pond and a stone prakara around it.
