Identified only as “Deegavapi Parivara Chetiya”, this huge rocky mountain is believed to have been home to one of the Parivara Stupa of the Deegavapi Maha Seya.  A large new temple has been built on top of these ruins destroying all of its antiquity but has become a popular destination for the pilgrims to Deegavapi.

Department of archaeology has declared a rock bolder with ruins of a stupa in this area which probably the rock where the temple lies as a protected archaeological site by the Government with the Gazette issued on 10th October 2014, and describes the location as follows;

“Natural rock boulder with stairways, base pockets, and natural rock plain with the signs of a drain and the rock plain with ruins of a Dagoba on the West and rock boulder where stairway is designed on the South belonging to Kachchena Rahumanthi village situated in No. 5-2-34-005 Irakkamam 07 Grama Niladhari Division in Eragama (Irakkamam) Divisional Secretary’s Division in Ampara District in Eastern Province. (latitude 7º 13′ 58” N and longitude 081º 45′ 39” E).”

Other than a spectacular view from the top of the rock, there isn’t anything of significant to make a visit.
