Kak Ella (Kaak Ella) is a small and beautiful waterfall lying in Mulatiyana Divisional Secretariat of Matara District in the village of Gammedagama. This rather unknown waterfall hidden in patch of forested area has become a recent attraction to the local as well as foreign tourists.

The mini waterfall is fed by waters from Heen Dola and Maha Dola both originating from the Maha Dola Forest Reservation. Therefore the water flowing on these streams are as pure as it could be.

There is no proper path towards the waterfall. A notice board has been setup recently at the place where you need to enter the forest patch. To reach this waterfall, you need to take the Danhena Handugala Road from the Deiyandara junction, travel 1.5 kms and then turn on to the Gammedagama Road. Travel a further 3 km on this narrow road to reach the entry point to the forest near the Gammedagama post office. There is a fairly steep climb down to the waterfall through the forest.

This waterfall is not listed in LCWF database.
