Upper Galdola Ella is a small and beautiful waterfall lying on the picturesque Rakwana – Sooriyakanda road in Ratnapura District. This rather unknown waterfall lies just beside the road before the famous 10 elbow bends traveling from Rakwana. The flow of water over this waterfall is highly dependent on the rainfall to the area.
The waterfall lies 3.2 km along the road and originates from a stream which crosses the road. The road cuts across the fall with one part lying above the road and the second part doping down below the bridge. The ancient bridge has now been replaced by an steel bridge recently.
This waterfall is not listed in LCWF database.
