Kasimani Ella Falls is a small waterfall hidden in a remote village called Dethabadakanda (දෙතබඩකන්ද) in the Ayagama PS division in the Ratnapura district. To reach this waterfall you need to travel along the Panadura – Horana – Ratnapura road up to Kiriella. Traveling 450 meters passing the Kiriella, you will come across Idangoda Junction with a small Bo Tree shrine. Turn left on this junction and cross the Kaluganga river bridge just after the turn off. Traveling about 3.6 km on this road, the waterfall can be reached in the vicinity of the “Kiriella Watta” factory.

The waterfall is not so popular outside the Dethabadakanda village and thus remains unspoiled. The villagers may not know the name Kasimani Ella so you may have to try the names “Madabaddara Ella” or “Kiriella Ella” asking for directions.

The waterfall drops in two stages, the top fall is about 14 meters high and the bottom fall is about 6 meters high. There is a place suitable to bath at the bottom of the top fall.
