Gomarankawala Rangiri Ulpotha Hot Springs

The two wells at Gomarankadawala Hot Spring is also referred to as Rankihiriya Hot Springs, Ulpatha Hot Springs or Ulpotha Hot Springs. These hot water well lies close to the Rangiri Ulpotha Buddhist Ruins lying in a picturesque landscape in the Dry Zone . Temperature of the water in these wells are 42 degrees centigrade.

Gomarankadawala can be reached by on the Trincomalee – Horowpathana road. Travel past Kannia, Pankulama and turn off to right at Kambakotte ( tamil : Kambakoddai). Gomarankadawala is few kilometers in to this route. This site can be reached by turning right after passing Gomarankadawala. By traveling past Gomarankadawala and Adampane you can also reach Thiriyaya .
