Nuwaragala Sugaladevi Viharaya is an ancient temple complex in Dehiattakandiya, reached by traveling 14 km from the Dimbulagala Rajamaha Viharaya toward Dehiattakandiya and then turning right to Pallegama for another 6.5 km. The site rests on a rocky plateau.

The well-preserved Sri Pathul Gala (Buddha footprint) and the large asana rock slab, both used for worship before the introduction of Buddha statues in the second century, indicate that this temple dates to the pre-Christian era, likely the 1st century.
