Kahambiliyawa is an remote village off Diyasenpura in Medirigiriya. Kahambiliyawa Rajamaha Viharaya at Kahambiliyawa is built upon an ancient Buddhist temple built more than millennia ago. A fairly well-preserved Samadhi Statue san a head surrounded by large pillars which would have been holding the image house, all made of granite can be seen at this temple.
Travel past Medirigiriya for 1.7 km to reach Diyansenpura Town. Take the Kahambiliyawa road to the right from Diyasenpura and travel 3.6 km along the road to reach the temple.
