Kallebokka – Upper Division 360° View Point – කැලෑබොක්ක කන්ද නැරඹුම් ස්ථානය

Kelebokka is an estate bordering Knuckles belonging to the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation. At hill at the Upper Division of the estate is a place where you can have a 360º  view of the whole area including the Knuckles range. This location welcomes visitors and is open to the public. The peak lies 1350 meters (4500 feet) above the sea level.

The site is located 35 km from Kandy and 25 km off Matale. Traveling from Kandy, you need to take the picturesque Madawala – Bambarella road winding through mountains taking the Kabaragala Road at the folk after 25 km. after about 10 km on this road, you need to turn in to the estate and the by road leading to the senior assistant superintendent’s bungalow on the upper division of Kellebokka.

Traveling from Matale, you need to take the road to Kabaragala and go past Kabaragala to reach the turn off to senior assistant superintendent’s bungalow. Total travel time will be little over 1 hour.

It is possible to take the vehicle up to the peak but you would need a vehicle with good ground clearance to navigate the 4 kilometer ride on the dilapidated estate road.
