The rocky outcrop where the Mahahurullawa Archaeological Site lies amidst vast paddy fields in the Andiyagala few km away from the popular historic Jathika Namal Uyana site.

Andiyagala can be reached from 3 sides. One is from Galewela traveling towards Kala Wewa. Second is from the other side of the same road, ie from the Thoniyagala or Kekirawa and traveling towards Galewela passing the Kala Wewa and the third is from Madatugama passing Jathika Namal Uyana. From Andiyagala travel towards Namal Uyana for approx 1 km to the road leading to Mahahurullawa Archaeological Site

The buildings and structures once stood at the top of this rock have totally disappeared leaving only few clues of the ancient glory of this site .
