To reach the Meegahakivula Kovil Mulla Ruins, one needs to take the Ketawatta road from Meegahakivula. Proceeding along Ketawatta Road will bring you to Gurumada junction from here ride along Kalugahakadura Road until you reach Komarika Gama where the  Komarika Ela can be found.

From the village get a guide to show you around. This place has remains of an ancient kovil and there are a few short pillars, a Bo tree, rocky wall to justify its ancient existence. This is believed to have been built by King Kumarasinghe.

When King Senarath (1604-1635 CE) ruled the country from Kandy, the country was divided into three sub kingdoms and he appointed three sub-kings. King Kumarasinghe (1629- 1636 CE) was the regional king of Uva and he was the son of King Senarath of Kandy. King Kumarasinghe reigned the Province of Uva from Badulla.
