These two Siva Kovil and the Ganesh Kovil are situated on the left side of the inner city entrance of the Ancient Capital of Polonnaruwa. On the left is a better preserved Shiva Kovil identified as Siva Kovil No 2 can be seen.
Most of these two Kovils have been destroyed over time and only the foundations and the statues have been restored in these buildings.
