Veheragala Aranya Senasanaya is ancient forest monastery in the in Hambanthota. This is a functioning hermitage of Buddhist bikkus built on an ancient hermitage.
Granite ruins of the ancient monastery is scattered all over this hermitage and some of the drip ledge caves are now being used by the monks. A new Buddha statue and a stupa has been built at the top of the rocky hill of the monastery.
