Colombo Harbor Pilot Station Lighthouse is one of the six lighthouses in the Colombo Harbour and was completed along with the breakwater in 1885.

This has a focal plane 17 m (56 ft) and is a 19 m (62 ft) round cylindrical tower topped by a dome, centered on a circular 2-story pilot station. The lighthouse has a green flash every 3 s.

The building is painted white. There are living quarters for 4 duty pilots in it. It has been recently refurbished and equipped with Air Conditioning, a new galley, and brand-new living quarters.

The top tower is now a VTS control center with some new Radar and Radio equipment installed Down at the lower level there is a resident steward/cook.
