Kandurugoda (Kadurugoda) is remote village off Namal Oya in Ampara District. The Archaological Site of Kandurugoda is an ancient monastic complex similar to the close by Ovagiriya Archaeological Site which is under the protection of the Archaeology Department.
To reach the site from Inginiyagala, take the Namaloya Road form Inginiyagala and take the Ambagahawella Road from Namaloya Junction which lies 7 km down Namaloya Road. After passing the newly built Kadurugoda temple the archaeological site can be found at a picturesque location surrounded by a paddy field. The site lies 3km away from this junction.
The land in which these ruins are located was declared as a protected archaeological site in 2014.
