The summit of the famous Mulkirigala Rajamaha Viharaya is surrounded by Benagala, Kondhagala, Bisogala and Seelawathiegala, rocks all with Buddhist shrines. The ancient Kondhagala Rajamaha Viharaya lies on the Kondhagala summit about 3km northeast of the Mulkirigala summit. The temple is 1 km away from Weeraketiya junction towards Mulkirigala.
