The summit of famous Mulkirigala Rajamaha Viharaya is surrounded by Benagala, Kondhagala , Bisogala and Seelawathiegala, rocks all with Buddhist shrines. The ancient Kondhagala Rajamaha Viharaya lies on the Kondhagala summit about 3km north east of the Mulkirigala summit. The temple is 1 km away from Weeraketiya junction towards Mulkirigala.
