Fed by the Kannekite Canal Narangas Ella Falls cascades spectacularly for about 7m to turn right and enter the tunnel. Here another near a boulder joins the former and in vision continues to flow altering its course into another cavity. This cavity was supposedly made by an earth slip during the cutting of logs to the plywood corporation which was sometimes back situated in the vicinity. Rare species of plants are found in the wood lot. One is the Randothalu which blooms in red flowers used to venerate Budda. The name of the fall as cribs to another species called Heen Naran.

another waterfall which will be found on the trail to Narangas Ella Falls is Anagimala Falls which lies about 3 km off the entrance from the Kanneliya Reserve.
