Nonpareil Estate Waterfall is an impressive 40-meter stepped cascade in the Ratnapura District. Formed by the Hirikatu Oya, it descends in three distinct segments visible from the road to Horton Plains. This hidden gem offers a tranquil stop for travelers exploring the lush landscapes of the Nonpareil Estate.
The Nonpareil Estate Waterfall is an impressive cascade approximately 40 meters in height, located within Nonpareil Estate on the route leading to Horton Plains National Park in the Ratnapura District.
The waterfall is formed by Hirikatu Oya, a relatively little-known stream that originates within Nonpareil Estate. As it flows through the estate, this oya creates several small cascades, most of which remain unnamed. Among them, a larger and more prominent fall—commonly referred to as the Nonpareil Estate Falls—can be observed from the road that passes through the estate toward Horton Plains. The waterfall descends in three distinct segments, creating a striking stepped cascade.
This waterfall is not listed in the LCWF list of waterfalls.
