Palampiddi village is located in Madhu Divisional Secretariat Division i Mannar District. Palampiddi can be reached by taking the Medavachchiya-Mannar road towards Madhu Church and traveling passing the church for another 9 km.

A hundred to two hundred years old kovil can be seen at this place. In this kovil, there are two Siripathul (Footprints of Buddha carved on a stone slab) stones that can be dated to the Anuradhapura period. It is assumed that these Buddhist artefacts may have been brought here from an undiscovered ancient temple in the area. One Siripatul stone measures 65×69 cm. The other should be 52×57 cm in size. One of these Siripatula stones is kept in the sanctum of the temple and the other Siripatula stone is kept in the entrance part of the temple.
