Parakumpura is a rural agricultural village lying 1700 meters above the sea levels between Nanuoya and Ambewela.
This undocumented Parakumpura Ella Fall is located in Parakumpura near the Parakumpura School. The closest town is Nanu Oya.
The road to Parakumpura starts from Nanuoya near the Yown Buddhist temple and the Hindu Temple. Coming from the town this road is on the right just next to the above 2 landmarks. Travel approx 5 km on this road to reach the Parakumpura.
Alternatively, you can get down at Parakumpura sub railway station if travelling by train. This is a fairly new station between Nanu Oya and Ambewela Railway stations. Before establishing this station, Nanu Oya and Ambewela were the furthest railway stations in the rail network of Sri Lanka.
