Height :14 meters
District :Monaragala

Deforestation on both sides of the Menik River has severely reduced the 14m-high Pareiyan Ella fall’s aesthetic beauty and endangered its existence. It is located in the Monaragala District, Badalkumbura Divisional Secretariat, Athala GS area. Take the Badalkumbura highway and turn at the village of Atala. From here it is a trek through sugar plantations. As there is no defined path, it is a difficult journey during both planting and rainy seasons.

To find the 14m Pareiyan Ella Falls travel in the Badalkumbura Buttala Road for 5 km and come to the Old Gamsaba or the Old Village Council Road. Again travel along the right side of the above-mentioned road for a distance about 2 km. Here, a footpath is found leading towards a woodlot.

There is a newly paved path towards the fall. You need to climb further down a slippery path to reach the bottom of the waterfall. Traveling further 200 meters down the stream you can also reach the enchanting Menik Ganga Dunhinda Falls.
