Dewategedara Wele Ambalama is an ancient resting place located about 3.5 kilometers from Wadakada in Kurunegala, and approximately 13.5 kilometers from the Nakalagamuwa Interchange on the Central Expressway. Nestled in the middle of a scenic paddy field, the ambalama is situated between the expressway and Dewategedara Road.

To reach the ambalama, exit the Central Expressway at the Nakalagamuwa Interchange and head towards Wadakada. Continue straight through Wadakada Junction for about 2.5 kilometers towards Pothuhera. Then, turn left onto a narrow concrete road leading to Dewategedara Road. After traveling another 1 kilometer, you will arrive at a large paddy field where the ambalama stands visibly to the left, right, and in the middle of the field.

Located in the Dewategedara Grama Niladhari Division under the Polgahawela Divisional Secretariat in the Kurunegala District, the Dewategedara Wele Ambalama was declared a protected archaeological monument in the government Gazette dated 24 July 2009.

At present, no detailed historical records or further information about this ambalama are available.
