Located near Kudumbimalai paddy field, this Anuradhapura-period site features a 5×5 meter square building with 11 original stone pillars arranged in rows. The ruins also contain an entrance threshold slab with joint mortises, alongside scattered bricks and stone chips.
The Ancient Building Site with Stone Pillars near Kudumbimalai Paddy Field is located in Kudumbimalai village, within Grāma Niladhāri Division 209-D of Kudumbimalai, in the Divisional Secretariat Division of Kōralai Pattu South (Kiran).
Access Route
From Kiran Junction, travel approximately 26 km along Kudumbimalai Road, which branches to the left from Pulipavichchan Junction, to reach the Miyankulam Memorial. Turn right near the memorial, pass the Kudumbimalai Army Camp, and continue for approximately 1 km along Soravanachcholai Road. Near the preschool encountered along this route, proceed onto Ollikulam Road. After travelling approximately 600 metres, the site is located on the left side of the by-road beyond the paddy field.

The site contains building ruins belonging to the Anuradhapura period.
Site Location and Nature of Archaeological Evidence
The ruined site is located on land near the Kudumbimalai paddy field. It is a building site containing 11 stone pillars preserved in their original context. The remains indicate that the building had four rows, with at least four pillars in each row.
The building is square in plan, measuring approximately 5×5 meters. A sill stone or threshold (yatalipatha) belonging to an entrance doorway is also present, which contains mortise cuts for joints. A small quantity of bricks and stone chips is scattered across the ground surface.
