Punugala Ella (Anda Dola Ella) Falls – පූනුගල (ආඳා දොළ) ඇල්ල

The Punagala Ella located on the Yatiyanthota – Seepoth road in Punagala is also known as Anda Dola Ella Waterfall.  Formed by Anda Dola stream, this waterfall  falls on 3 segments and only the bottom part of the waterfall can be seen from the Punugala bridge which is built over it.

If you get down from the right side of the bridge, you will able to see the mid section of the waterfall which flows over 2 channels carved naturally on the rock.

To see the top section of the fall you need to travel up the stream or else by traveling further away from the stream.

Google map has erroneously marked this point as Olu Ella. Olu Ella lies on the same road and another 4 kms on from the Punugala Ella (Anda Dola Ella) waterfall. (now corrected)

This waterfall is not listed in the LCWF database. but lists a Punagala Ella waterfall 12 km away from Yatiyanthota which probably is this waterfall.
