Eheliyagoda Manan Ella Waterfall (ඇහැලියගොඩ මනං ඇල්ල)

The magnificent Manan Ella is located in the village of Ihalakanda in Ellawala of Eheliyagoda PS division in Rathnapura district. The waterfall is approx 40 meter in height and known for a decent flow of water even during the dry season. However its best during the rainy season and said to as spectacular as the Bomburu Ella waterfall during high flow.

To reach this waterfall, pass Eheliyagoda on the Colombo-Ratnapura road and go about 1 1/2 km towards Ratnapura and turn at the Baduwatta intersection to a bypass road (towards Ellawala) which leads to Ratnapura-Panadura road. When you go travel about 6 km, you will reach Ellawala. You need to take a by-road from here and walk about a kilometer distance to reach the fall.

Alternatively, you could travel from Panadura on the Horana road for 51 km to reach the other end of the Ellawala road. Traveling 7 km towards Eheliyagoda will again bring you to Ellawala village.

The waterfall lies in a forested area in the Ihalakanda Estate. This has become quite a popular since recently and unfortunately you will find that this waterfall too is starting to get polluted with garbage left by visitors.
